So yesterday I graduated c25k by doing my first park run! I was the 11th slowest out of 295 people but I made it! I ran the whole thing without stopping for a recovery walk. It took me 42 minutes but I was so proud. I'm now determined to beat my time in 2 weeks so going back to week 4 to use those recovery times for faster interval training. Let's see if I can make it in 40 minutes next time π
Graduation day: So yesterday I graduated c25k by... - Couch to 5K
Graduation day
Very well done. So you came 284th
Actually I've just checked my results again and I came 281st out of 292 π I should have slowed down and made a real statement by coming last lol. I can only get better surely π€£
..........a slow 5k is as far as a fast 5k.
We are a friendly bunch at the back, happy to come last so others don't need to.
Well done for finishing C25k, and well done for your first Parkrun. Bet you felt fantastic when you crossed the finish line ... and you'd run all the way.
Great achievement, brilliant!
Congratulations and very well done. It is a great achievement to finish C25K never mind doing a graduation run at a Parkrun and running a full 5k without any walking breaks and adding an extra 12 minutes onto your run. Very very well done.π
Thank you. I feel so proud because I am still the most unfit person I know! If I can do this then everyone else who has started can. I've found my runs with a partner much easier than when I go alone. I still don't have enough breath to talk but they're good at recognising my sign language now π already looking at which venue to try next week's parkrun at π
Well done on your graduation and remember a 6 minute mile is just as far as a 12 minute mile!
Running for 42 minutes is a massive achievement and one you would probably of never thought possible 9 weeks ago, so hard off to you and keep at it πππ
Well done, Impressive! π
Well done! That's a great achievement. The fact that you ran all the way is a huge thing - well I know it would be for me. Really well done.
