I just want to say a big thank you to everyone here for the kind words, support, advice and for being a great place to complain about the pain and celebrate the victories. I never thought I could do this, but I just did and feeling great! What an accomplishment. Now to set new goals and build on the momentum. I'm the type of person who will reach a goal and then stop. I can't stop now! A few weeks of consolidation coming up and then on to train for a race in June.
I keep thinking back to those first few weeks of huffing and puffing and burning, barely getting my feet off the ground. I just ran for 3.6k and walked another 2k. And I feel like I could go out there and do it again!
This is my awesome running companion Tika. She's a C25K graduate too.

Very well done to you! Lovely dog, lovely looking run too! My heart pines for a run like that! Here's to many more down the path... I don't think you could ever get sick of that view
Well done ! I have just re- done my week 4 first run as I failed to complete it on Wednesday. You have inspired me to keep going and show us beginners it is possible. π
She is actually a mix of 4 breeds, but her dad was all Rottweiler. This is my favourite place to run. I have to be a little wary of wildlife, but otherwise, it's really great. There are dozens of trails in a giant forested parkland.
