A Unplanned Lucky Break.

I was running Wk8R3 earlier today and when I reached the 28 minutes non stop I felt good enough to keep going a little further. Unexpectedly I eventually completed my first 5k in 35 minutes dead. I'm amazed really, when I started it seemed like a pipedream but the plan works. It was a Forrest Gump moment. "I just kept running!"

You are not supposed to "jump the gun" so to speak, it risks injury, onwards and upwards to week 9 which are 3/30 minute runs including your graduation run

Tut, tut! Make sure you rest properly after this, and don't push hard in week 9.

You know you can do 5km now, but that's not the target of the programme.

How important is running without a break?
