I know I should take a rest day between runs but lately I've taken to playing tennis for a couple of hours on some days. It leaves me achy limbed and with slightly sore ankles the next day. Should I be taking a rest day after tennis days as well?
Very much enjoying reading this and the motivation that comes from everybody's posts

Your body is telling you something... are you putting in some S and F work alongside running on some of your rest days. That will help enormously and with tennis too... do you warm up before your game etc
Lots of ideas on our Strength and Flex forum including some ideas for feet and ankles... ( I put them up)
Exercise on some of our rest days is great... and tennis alongside walking, cross training, yoga , or Pilates etc is good. Just make sure you do take a complete rest day every so often. True relaxation for body and mind
Thank you for the hints and tips. I especially like the crawling along with the toes one. My quandary is solved by the local council taking down the nets and posts and padlocking the tennis courts. No more tennis for a bit anyway.
Had my second consolidation run this afternoon, a very slow half hour in the cold. Wasn't sure I could still do it I'd left it so long but I managed. There'll be more time for running in the near future
