Rest day?

It’s a rest day today but I was thinking of going for a walk along the beach.

Is there such a thing as the walk being too long? I could walk for miles if I wanted but unsure if I should due to being a rest day.

Got no aches or pains so I think it’s fine 😀

Just don’t want to hamper the program by doing to much.

Walking is great rest day exercise...strength and stamina all needs working on alongside the runs.

A steady relaxed walk, not an amble 😉 along a beach sounds perfect..

Cool, I thought it would be ok 😀

don’t think my body knows how to amble, I’m always getting asked to slow down 😂 I naturally have a fast walking pace 😀

thank you for replying 👍

Me too! I always walk really fast! I haven't had any problems doing this on my rest days. I think my history of long brisk walks helped when I started the programme.

Walking is a great exercise to do alongside C25k. It sounds like you are a walker already, so head out and enjoy and just let your feet go as far as they want.

I have to walk every day as my dog won't run with me - she's far too busy following her own nose to follow me! I quite enjoy the days I both walk and run as it really stretches my legs out. 😊

Go for it!

I'd say a walk is too long if you end up totally exhausted with blisters on both feet. 😜

I would go for it!
