So I was worried, I hadn’t managed to get out for a run since my graduation run on Monday. I was distinctly lacking in motivation? or direction?
I didn’t know what to do I was confused. Running has also definitely not become a habit for me yet still some time to go with that!
Anyway I had download the Nike running app a few days ago. I had listened to one of the runs and wasn’t sure about the coach as I am so used to Laura’s calming voice. But I chucked the trainers on picked a run and just did it. It was all fine, thanks to the program I took things steady and had faith that I had done this before. I’ll be honest I’m not sure the coach on the nike app is for me I found it all very distracting so may try something else next time. But was glad to be out and am planning just one days rest before I go out again it’s seems important for me to try not to leave to much of a gap between runs. As I was running the realization that I can now keep running for 30 mins still feels amazing and I hope to work on distance and pace a little in the future.

Pooped77 you got yourself out there running 👍 ok if the app didn't work try others perhaps, I went solo it worked for me, tried random music, podcasts etc noooooo not happening, went naked ( no tunes no nothing) just me and running, it worked see what works for you 👍
I'm in the week after graduation also... I didn't use Laura for week 8 or 9 as I found it annoying to be told that i still had x minutes to run when i was already knackered, so I just use my apple watch set at 30 mins.. then it's just me and my thoughts....
Well done for getting out there, it feels strange being let loose on your own doesn’t it. I’m not far ahead of you but for my first 3 consolidation runs I just re ran the last W9 run with Jo as I liked it her reassurance! I then tried NRC for the first time too and am not sure whether that’s for me or not... jury’s still out, will try a different run with it today. I like my music but think I might give podcasts a go too. I think we just all have to decide what’s best for us 🤷♀️
I listened to one of the other NRC runs and frankly it creeped me out. The guy telling me that I wanted to run faster but I couldn’t because he wouldn’t let me! It was all a bit weird in my mind🤪
