Another consolidation run, and today everything suddenly seemed easier and wonderful when I got to the 35 minute point where I usually stop, so I kept going and did 5k in 44 minutes, and found myself beaming just like I did after wk 9 run 3. I’ve been bumbling along at my own pace all this time and gradually getting faster and running further without really trying. It was also my first ever midday run- I’m usually out at 7am- so I think my breakfast porridge gave me super powers too.

Congratulations on completing your first 5k, well done, porridge could well give you super power, next run could well be a sub 40 minute 5K. 😊 🏃🏾

You never know! My son runs 5k in 15 minutes which I find absolutely amazing. And he only started running seriously just before his 40th birthday.
