Wk7 run 2 powered by porridge!

I wasn't looking forward to this run...as I have had a cold and had to delay it by a few days. Felt I needed a nutritional boost so tried a small bowl of porridge...seemed to do the trick. I wanted to ignore all the sensible advice about keeping it slow and up my lethargic snail pace to just snail.

I just about did it with average pace 7.57 km/min normally I'm around 8.40 km/min. So I'm going to stick with that for the rest of my runs 😀

Felt a bit guilty as Laura reminded me it's not about speed....But I do feel I run in better form a bit faster.

43 seconds per km isn’t a small increase, that’s pretty huge. Well done for dealing with that. Good run.

That sounds really speedy to me! I'm going to try that porridge - what am I saying? - It's not about speed 🙄 ......

I hardly ever eat porridge...I just got a craving ! I had a bit of honey in there as well.

I'm a huge fan of porridge. I have half a banana an hour or so before running and then the other half sliced into a big bowl of porridge with a few flaked almonds and a drop of maple syrup 😋😋😋
