First sub 40 minute 5k!

Having had a couple of aches and some thunderstorms stopping me from getting out for a few days, I was ready for a run this morning.

5 minutes in and I just wanted to go home. 10 minutes in and I knew it would be a good run (by my standards).

I stretched out in the last kilometer as I could hear my average pace was good and didn't want it to fall off. And I did it!

Although I felt nothing in the run, I have hurty knee that I only noticed on my 5 minute cool down walk. So it may be the last run for a few days.

Well done on that pace and that sunrise is so pretty 👍 I should have been out this morning but lay in bed listening to the rain instead 🤦‍♀️😂 I’ll get out tomorrow morning or maybe later 🙄. I bet you feel great for doing this 👍

I was like that yesterday morning... listening to the thunder and seeing constant lightning. It was a bit out to sea but the rain was heavy here and I didn't feel confident if the lightning started flashing around while I was running. So, it was a case of staying in bed until well after dawn.

Oh...I forgot some other great news. New running shorts = no chafing! So, although I am limping a bit, at least I am not walking like John Wayne today. Result!
