I completed C25K and have been consolidating my runs since. Yesterday I tried slow and steady and to see how my legs could take me. On week 9 I ran 30-33 mins X3 achieving 4K. Yesterday it was just me and my music, I forgot to set a timer but had my Garmin watch telling me average pace at the end of each KM. I thought ok at 4K, thatβs about 30 mins. But at that point I felt good and thought letβs try for 5K but no pressure. Legs felt strong. I upped the pace for the final 2 mins.
But I am proud to say my first 5K comfortably completed in 41:35, furthest distance and longest time running ever. I sprinted the end and had energy left in the tank.
I canβt believe it when I struggled at 1 minute 10 weeks ago, love this plan and community!
I plan to continue 30 min runs for next 2 weeks then start bridge to 10K.
Happy running everyone X
