I took an extra day off following my exertions of Saturday. Still didn't feel very up for it this AM but I was determined to run. For the first time I had tights on under my shorts, and very glad I was too, as the NE wind was a tad nippy. I had decided to try a new route, around Carnsew Pool tidal pool . It was low tide and the number of Canada geese in the shallow pools of Hayle estuary were a sight to behold.
As soon as I started running both hip joints became painful, the right more so than the left. However I was determined to run and so carried on putting one foot in front of the other. No coach, no training schedule, just started the Samsung wearable recording when I started running (plodding) and didn't look at again for the next 29.5 minutes. By this time I had only covered 3.45km, but heck I'll take that. I was still quite a way out from the office and so carried on running for another 8 minutes.
4.44km in 37'17" @ 8'24"km
Glad I ran, not worried about the slow speed, I reckon there are going to be a few more like this before I start picking up the pace again.
Have a good running week all
