Congratulations on completing C25K, sorry about your injuries, nevertheless well done on completing the course, you should be very proud of yourself.

Thanks friend, I'm feeling kind of silly now. I have to say that I kept reading all that you fabulous people have written and that spurred me on, it was almost as though I had joined a very special group of people and I could not let them down. I included my age and disadvantages to try to inspire other just starting just as you have inspired me. so thanks to you all. Cheers!
πBrilliant! Thankyou for posting! What an inspiration! Hope you continue to enjoy the running. πΊ
Thank you BonniesRest, insanity helps, in spite of a few pains I enjoy the jogging/running. Cheers!
Wow. I guess there's no excuses for the rest of us now!

Many congratulations on your graduation, fellow runner.

Keep running, keep smiling.
That is amazing. What strength of character you have. Please donβt injure yourself though ππΌ
Wowsers. Amazing resilience and very inspiring. ππ»ππ»ππ»ππ»ππ»
You are inspirational to me and others! Shame on me in my 60s, with osteoarthritis, for wondering if I should do c25k. Clearly, it is very achievable if you follow advice and believe it is. I'm only w5r2, but very pleased to be up with it and my doubts about what's next will not deter me after reading your post.
Thank you and best wishes.
You are wonderful! Keep living life to the full, but you need no advice from me! What an inspiration
You are an inspiration, I hope we can all be as active as you at your age.
Congratulations on your graduation.
Wow what an inspiration you are βοΈβοΈβοΈππππ₯π₯π₯ so amazed to read your post
Happy Running
Absolutely amazing! So inspiring! Good luck with your running journey. No excuse for me not to keep going now! π
Iβm sitting here, 71 and never run! Trying to galvanise myself to head out. No choice now. Brilliant. Thanks
WOW, your some lady, when I'm running I shall think of you and wish you well. Remember 'slowly slowly catch the monkey'. Good luck and three cheers for Grannies
Dear 49, Just take it in stages, don't pressure yourself, eg:-
1. Put your running gear on.
2.check the app is working and ready in your bag.
3.Go out to where you plan to warm up and run.
4. See how you feel, switch on the app. Think: 'shall I just start and see what happens?'
5.Start and see - actually you're off!
Good luck and don't forget to listen to your body, you can always stop and try again another day. Hope this approach may help you get started as it did me. Do let us know how you get on. Best wishes.
Great advice thanks
Sorry Granny49, I thought you were a complete beginner, but a quick check of posts says you are already running very well. In fact I'm psyching myself up for W5r3(20mins!), which you've done so I'll be following in your footsteps and giving it my best shot .
Best wishes.
Love to hear of oldies getting out and actually running. Your doing great.
I've just ran for 2 years now, just had both my cataracts done so vision is A1, hopefully no more falls.
At my local Park run I look out for an 83 yr old club runner and try to finish before him (haha) but then a young mother comes flying passed pushing a pram.ππ
Crackers? No . Absolutely cracking. Take it steady though! Very well done!
Congratulations on your graduation. You are absolutely brilliant and inspirational. Definitely no excuses for me in the future. Well done!
Like all the posts before me- wow- arenβt you doing brilliantly? My Dad was in the RAF and is now 86 , fairly fit too though not at your level. Iβm starting W5r1 on Thursday, hopefully I shall reach 5k .......before Christmas ππββοΈππ. My lurcher and whippet are much faster than me, getting near 35mph!
Welcome to the Oldies Section! Ignore all the gazelles and remember - don't go Too Far, Too Fast or Too Soon (recommended reading - 49 pence on Kindle).
Congratulations and what an inspiration
Wow you are amazing and such an inspiration π€© many congratulations on a fabulous achievement and hope you celebrated well π
My husband is in the RAF and weβre currently in Canada on his final posting before we retire back home. He runs already and Iβm soon to graduate π€hoping to be able to do some running (jogging π’π in my case) together. I shall show him your post... heβll be as delighted as I am for you ππ
That's amazing. Hope nothing hurts too much! My father, who is 88, only gave up running a few years ago. I don't know why he gave up, because he can still run! I think he was a little concerned after having a hernia operation and decided to stop, not because he couldn't run, but because he just decided to stop! I still catch him jogging occasionally when we go out for our long walks!
I want to be like you when I grow up. Seriously!
Inspiration ππ»
Absolutely amazing!
Well done. You are an inspiration. I'm struggling to get back after 5 weeks off due to two broken toes. I've gone back to week 1 to make myself take it easy. πββοΈ
