How do ppl meaure their actual 5k on the day? Should I start my fitbit from the beginning of my warm up walk? 🤔
Or from the start of my run?🤔
So far I have just been starting my fitbit from the point I start my warm up walk but thinking this is not atrueindication of pace and would like to monitor just the running part now I have just completed wk 5 run 3 (20 minutes ppl!!!!)

I started doing that but decided after a couple of runs to start my Runkeeper at the beginning of the actual run as I was interested in the pace of the run and the walking before and after skewed those stats.
I used to start my watch fitness tracking from the start, but have now changed it. I measure the walking intervals including the warm up and warms down separately from the running intervals. Easier to do after W5R3 as the running intervals are longer
If I remember rightly, W6 R2 is the last of the interval runs. So I would start just recording the running segment only beginning with W6 R3. Wait for the coach to time you in to start running and press start. At the end, when the coach says “That’s it” press stop.
They’ll be about ten or fifteen seconds extra on the clock while fiddling with the app but it won’t affect the average pace or distance moved significantly. 🙂
I always start Strava when I start running, but didn't track distance at all until week 9, just out of curiosity. It's a mixed blessing to track your runs at this stage because you can end up putting pressure on yourself to run faster, which is not a great idea. Good luck with the remainder of the programme.
Very true, I’m not focussing on distance or PB, just trying to check my pace and link it to how I feel on the run, what I ate or listened to, how I felt about it, was my layering of clothes good for that weather, etc, to figure out what works best for me
