Not been able to run for 2weeks. Have had a bad cold and still blocked up. So fed up I feel like all my hard work over the last few months has gone. Any advice on how long to run on recovery I am sure I will not make 30 minutes. Do you have to be breaving normally before you try to run again

I am in the same situation. It's been nearly 2 wks since my last run. i was on wk 7 of the magic plan. 1 wk from acheiving 10k. Such a heavy cold, it's difficult to know what to do for best as you feel like a run would be good, may clear the chest but the thought of it is making me v. tired!! Like you feel fed up like I've stepped backwards and a non runner.
I guess sensible advice would be to listen to your body, don't over do it and gradually build it up again. We can do this! We have done it before!
Any words of help and inspiration would be gratefully received. 🤧🥴
As stated in the guide to the plan, healthunlocked.com/couchto5... you lose no significant condition in the first two weeks of non running.
After that loss of condition is gradual.
All any of us can do after a lay off is to go out and see what we can comfortably manage, then build back up gently, using C25k or something similar as a guide to weekly increase.
I'm in the same boat. Will try again tomorrow for 5k but will go really slowly and try to build up from there. Finding it very frustrating ☹️
