Hi. I did Wk 8 run 1 on Sunday morning. Felt I had so much energy by the late afternoon that I went for a 3 mile walk. Powered most of it. Regretted it! My right knee started getting twingy and it was twingy next day (rest day) when I went for a couple of gentle walks. Decided I need to take a couple of days off both running and walking. This morning I went for a gentle 20 min walk and was ok so will try a run tomorrow.
So, no, I would not advise a power walk while waiting for knees to recover. A gentle walk, yes, if your knees can tolerate it and make sure you have good cushioning in your footwear. You haven't said why your knees are recovering. If it is from running, then perhaps you need new running shoes.

Yes, very.
Hi
I rarely comment on this forum as I rarely run but go to the gym, cycle and power walk. I damaged my knee, down my lower leg to my foot back in 2017 and saw a Physiotherapist, best thing I ever did. Have a look online or self refer for physio, it was the best thing I ever did. My knee, lower leg and foot have been 99% fine since, only the very odd twinge which is nothing.
That’s what I’m doing at the moment. It burns just as many calories if you do a good tempo.
