Week 6 Run 3 done ..woohoo!

So, the deed is done. My first 25min continuous run and in fairly dire weather conditions!! The wind and rain this morning.... I must admit, when my alarm went off and it was still DARK outside and I could hear the wind I thought, "umm...really?" but then I knew I couldn't live with myself today if I didn't get the run in and I'm so glad I did.

Decked out in my new very bright illuminous yellow wet weather jacket with clashing patterned leggings (due to outfit change when I saw quite how bad the rain was!), I got the 90's tunes on again and headed out. I've found in the last couple of weeks that if I'm worried about the run ahead, I have to focus on getting my head in the game otherwise it's too much of a struggle. I focussed and bigged myself up a bit and when Jo said "off you go"..I kept the pace steady and "enjoyed my surroundings" lol as we're always being told. Trees bent in the wind, leaves flying around all over the place, driving rain, no one out except one lone dog walker. Who have I even become I'm out here in THIS!!! but I loved it. I took a different route as I felt the extended time now warranted a bit of an adventure, it took my mind off things and the new sights helped a lot. Nice bit of downhill 10mins in :-)

Once you're going, you're going...there was no way I was stopping. The tunes were ace and the last 5mins were not pretty again but thank you Robin S "Show Me Love" for coming on in those last few minutes and that beat helping me get over the line and yesss! Done. Roll on Week 7.

Well done on braving those conditions! And well done on finishing week 6 💪🏻 takes a lot to force yourself out when conditions suck but the 90s dance helps for sure! 👍🏻

Can't believe how quickly we're getting through this! It's flying by.

Despite the conditions with the weather you did it, you are now OFFICIALLY a RUNNER by completing run 3 of week 6, congratulations, onwards and upwards to week 7 🏃🏾 😊.
