W9 R1 running resumed

After a week to recover after both my calf muscles decided to through a wobbly in the last minute of week of w8 r3 I found calf pain had gone and i had list the slight limp. I was a bit nervous about bringing on a relapse so decided to run nearer my home (more hilly and varied terrain - grass & uneven track as well as pavement) I figured that maybe my calves would like a bit of variation rather than the unchanging pace and same hit they get when running on the flat along the canal towpath. I eased the pace off a bit both to play safe and also just beacause its always slower when I run on the hills

Anyway it worked! I finished the 30 mins with no calf trouble - covered 4K . OK not as far as I'd go on the canal but I'm back in the game.

I was wondering how I'd do after a break or if I'd need to break myself into running 30 again. It's a nice moment when Laura remind us we are now running for 30 times as long as we did on the first run. That seems like another life away now!

Keep at it running friends!

That's good news. You must've caught the calf issue before it became more of a problem, well done for being so disciplined. So close, take it easy and you'll be a graduate any time now!
