Yesterday it was decided that the attic room needed redecoration - basically just slapping some emulsion on the walls. However, in order to do this, a few large storage units housing my vinyl/cd/cassette collection (about 750/500/250 items respectively) had to be moved. The only way to do this was to offload them, move the units by sliding them across the carpet sitting on my bum and pushing them with my feet, and then reversing the process when the painting was finished.
This morning I woke up with a pain in my right ankle - to match the intermittent pain I’ve had in my left one for over a year since my left foot went down a rabbit hole while the rest of my body continued on. So, I wasn’t really up to running today, especially as it was raining - hence all the sitting down 🐑.
Nevertheless, run I did. I did the full 28 minutes despite the rain and the pain although I didn’t get much further than I had on the previous 25 minute runs. But I did it and I can’t believe that I was so motivated to complete it. All I need know is for that motivation to succeed to spill over into my carpet bowling and I’ll be a very happy chappy.
