Hi everyone. It's been a while since I posted on here about my running πββοΈescapades but it is where my heart is though and where it all began!! I'm afraid you are stuck with me!!
It's a quieter Sunday afternoon and have a minute to post, so wanted to leave a little update.
Today, I ran my second 5K run. My first was on 30th August (my Dad's 70th Birthday) and I will remember that day for always. My goal (and adulthood ambition) was to run 5K without stopping. I was elated!!!
On 30th August ran the 5K in 38.04 minutes (I was very careful to follow the 10% rule to avoid injury, having been previously de-railed during my journey).
Today, I managed 5K in 37 mins and 56 seconds. A whole 8 seconds faster π€£π
I managed to achieve 3.8k in 30 minutes by graduation π day on 31st July.
Not really sure what the point of my post is, other than to say, still here, largely lurking, but still watching with interest all of the people on their journeys. I also wanted to post something as I feel a bit guilty that everyone supported me in my journey but I've not had chance to post and offer my support to others coming through.
I also wanted to reiterate (because I know how these gremlins π get you) that the goal is not time/pace with this but endurance.
The 5K and pace will come, I am proof of that... just follow the plan ππ
