Aching back

My back has been hurting for the last couple of weeks in between runs but it's ok when I'm running. No pain. I'm doing a lot of back stretches but it's not feeling great today and I don't know whether to run or not in the next couple of days. I'm on week 9!!! Any thoughts? Thank you.

Maybe give yourself a couple more rest days and see if it helps , it's difficult at this stage but you certainly don't want to take yourself out through injury at this point !

I know, I had 16 days out after week 8 run 1

Have a rest or seek professional advice , graduation will still be there waiting for you when you are ready

thank you. It's very disappointing at this stage but hopefully rest will help.

Yes, I know only too well ,.

A couple of days won't be an issue though !

I managed to carry on with my next run after 16 days !

Good luck 🤞

Runners need good core strength and the simplest way to achieve it is building planks and bridges into your regular strengthening routines.

This will most likely alleviate your back ache.
