Some days are better than others....

Bonjour.....

Monday 3 minutes was hard but manageable.

Today’s 3 minutes was like running through treacle mixed with cement and honey and glue and any other viscous consumable.

I’m meant to start week 4 on Friday 😑

That's what you said about weeks 2 and 3, remember?

It was a common theme with me - how the bleep will I do that, but I did, and you can too.

Have faith, slow and steady. Some days are unexplainably easier than others

Good luck 🏃‍♀️

If it's heavy legs you are referring to, I would suggest hydration to be the issue. You need to be getting up for wee's during the night before run!!! :D

If I can barely do 3 minutes how will I do 2 x 3 mins along with 2 x 5 mins?! 🙈

When you say 3 minute run...

... what you mean to say is ... 9 (NINE) minute outing.

Yes, you ran for NINE minutes today. Week 3 sees you run for a TOTAL of 27 minutes.

Week 1 was 3x (8x 1 min= 8 minutes) = 24 minutes

Week 2 was 3x (6x 1.5 min = 9 minutes) = 27 minutes.

Week 3 was 3x (3x 3 min = 9 minutes) = 27 minutes.

Congratulations! You now have 78 (SEVENTY EIGHT) minutes of running under your belt which has given you the fitness to prepare your for Week 4.

You're physically ready - you just need to convince yourself.

Do it!

You must be some kind of key speaker for some management company! 😂

Cheers mate

Honestly, I really am not. But I don't have anxiety or depression etc, so I don';t know what it's like to suffer those things. But I have done C25K 5 years ago, been a run-leader for our works lunchtime C25K club, which we've run 7 times and seen all sorts of people come through it. Wide range of shapes, sizes and ages.

There's nothing stopping you apart from ...

Oh yes John's explanation of the weeks in minutes, I love this. It really makes you realise what you've achieved already. Please Maxi80 believe, I sometimes read post on here before I run for inspiration, I have been known to talk aloud to myself in the warm up walk too

2x 3 mins? Week 3 is 3x 3 mins. 9 minutes.

Mate, you really need to watch this: bbc.co.uk/ideas/videos/four...

YOU CAN F*****G DO THIS - tell yourself that!

POSITIVE THINKING!

I’ll be rooting for you! Maybe we can run it together? Spiritually I mean 😂

Why not? Aren't you excited by the challenge? Why are you doing this?

Your BODY is ready! You don't realise it ...

C25K is a mental test - it's designed to be physically do-able by almost anyone. But you need to BELIEVE you can do it...

Oh yeah don't get me wrong I'm excited, it's just much harder than I thought it was going to be, the 3 minute runs are a killer

I am starting to trust the programme. It just disheartening when your legs muscles are screaming in protest. The pain!

Really, you can do this 💪 go really slowly like the video and believe in yourself. Make sure you’re drinking lots of water as everyone advises and yes to Rocky 👍😃 anything that you think will help.

We’re all rooting for you 😊

Well done.

Everything going on in our lives can impact on our performance as a runner. Restedness, hydration and nutrition are at the top of my list of variables that need to be optimised to enable enjoyable running.

Looking back, week 4 and 5 were my favourites. Too much walking at the beginning and too much running now hahaha.

Those weeks are best of both and I think were a real 'aha' moment for me realising my body was getting better and it was showing me it could go further than ever before.

You'll be fine! As long as you go slow.

Unless you don't complete a run, keep going and tell yourself your body is ready. Don't talk yourself out of it xxx

All you have to do is believe!!!! believe you can do it and you will 👍
