Pulled pectorals

I think I’ve pulled a muscle possibly because my bra isn’t supportive enough. Do I keep running? (Only on week 4 and struggling) And any suggestions for a good bra? Thanks.

Oh a good bra is a must. I had a rubbish one when I started and was in pain! A favourite amongst runners is the shock absorber bra. Not cheap and you have to get the knack of getting it on, but once it's on, it's so comfy and supportive. A real essential. Shock absorber bras are designed based on proper research so have good credentials. My usual size fits. You might initially think it's too tight round the under and, but it isn't!

Yes I agree the shock absorber bras once you get them on and done up feels very comfortable and supportive in all the right places. A must for running. My usual size fits fine as well. Worth the purchase definitely ✅😊

You really need a decent sports bra even if you don’t have a lot to support! I got mine in M&S - front zip which takes a bit of getting used to but I like it! Be aware that from what I can see, sports bras seem to vary a lot from your usual size so you really need to ‘try before you buy’ if you can.

Thanks. I ordered a size bigger. I’ll let you know but might take a while as post is unreliable at the moment.

Well the shock absorber came and it is very comfortable. I’m going to take a week’s break to give the strain a chance to heal then go back and do a couple of weeks again. I was only just managing in any case so might be a good thing.
