Not been out since Thursday when I had a slight pull in my hamstring still from my last" proper" run last Tuesday. Rested up over the weekend and was unable to do my Weekly Virtual 5Kโน๏ธ
Decided to visit my local parkrun venue and try a gentle jog to turn my legs over for just one lap (2.5K) as the course is reasonably flat. Thought I'd keep my legs warm so donned a pair of cycling leggings and felt like Instructor57 ๐๐๐ In the end I wish I hadn't as temp was 21C and looked like I'd just come out the shower when I'd finished๐
Anyhow all was good but made sure I did dynamic stretches before my run and a longer warm up than usual. Something to note as the weather gets colder as too easy to pick up a niggling injury. You have been warned!!๐๐

Sounds good to me! Well done for knowing your limits and taking it steady - definitely donโt want to do anything that will put you out for weeks!
I too was caught out by the weather yesterday. Went out in leggings thinking itโll be cooler now in the mornings but surprisingly it is still very humid and I should of worn my shorts! Looking at the forecast for the weekend I think iโll need to get them back out!
Glad you are back out there again MontyMooDog and a very sensible shorter run, too to test out your hamstring.
You Parkrun course looks lovely btw - did you see they are talking about restarting at the end of October? It would be lovely but ๐ค, weโll see!๐ค๐ป
Good point about warming up properly for the colder weather ahead too!๐๐
