Week 7. After my warm up walk, for the first 30/60 seconds of running I feel really out of breath. But after a few mins in, I find a good pace and quite happily run for 25mins. Does anyone else get out of breath to start with? Seems weird, as I can feel my fitness improving with every run.

I feel exactly like that for at least the first 3 mins then seem to settle down! 😥

Ok think it's very common, most people will start off too fast in the first few minutes and then settle down , I have to really try consciously to start at a slow pace and maybe increase it later in the run

You are describing the perfectly natural process referred to as the Toxic Ten, explained here healthunlocked.com/couchto5... which is the initial period of exercise during which your body is trying to balance demands and actually goes into oxygen deficit.
It can be eliminated or reduced by a longer and more strenuous warm up.
