Hi all I’ve not posted for a while but thought it a good point to check in.
I’m still out joggling three times a week and happy to see my times getting better. Still not at 5 k even with the warm up walk and cool down stagger but so close. Around 4.6k regularly, I’ll get there. Just so proud of myself as I real was a couch lover. Now I’ve a birthday looming and my requests are more jogging kit ! Is this really me ? Yes the new me as I head into the next year.
So anyone beginning their journey keep going it’s worth it. I must be fitter stronger and healthy. You’ll all get there.

Same here, not posted recently but still out there and really enjoying it, so much so, I’ve now got a treadmill for those rainy days. The family keep asking what I’ve done with the old me!! Glad your times are improving and your still running.
Yeah, those endorphins seem to make it the best happy-maker! Which in our current crises is extraordinary but also badly needed. Great that you have solutions for the winter (e.g. treadmill). Happy running!
You'll get to 5k - in fact sounds like you are a fraction away. Its lovely to hear how much you're enjoying it though. That's the main thing really. Keep on!
Hello 👋🏽 friend!!! Nice to see you on here again! Greetings from another tortoise 🐢!
My first 5k took me more than an hour!! 🤣🤣 (and still do) And knowing your speed, you’ll soon have a speedier 5k under your belt. 🚀 It’s all relative🤣😅
But we’re getting there! Upwards and onwards! Well done!!!!👍🏼
I think you are at the stage that I started ju-ju’s Magic 10 Program - using the timed version building up from 30 minutes to an hour. (It’s on the Bridge to 10k forum). I had a rest from thinking about distance & pace & just concentrated on building up the minutes very gradually. 😄
