Consolidation Run 15
I didn’t manage to post the update from my run on Tuesday because life got in the way (as it does!) and I’ve been having a bit of a wobble but here it is👇
Decided to give the C25K+ Stepping Stone podcast another go as I had deliberately been avoiding this one. The gradual build up in BPM for this podcast seems to take it out of me more than the others for some reason 🤷♂️
As predicted - the slower BPM’s use up all my fuel and I feel like I’m struggling to maintain the pace, wanting to naturally do more steps per minute! Strava updates confirm that I won’t hit any PB’s at this rate and that my Ave. Pace is above the 6 minute mark. I’ve been trying to keep below 6 minutes! Never mind - I decide to trust the programme and Laura, begrudgingly. For now.

The silver lining for me was knocking 2.8 miles off the British Red Cross Miles for Refugees challenge. I’m running 22 miles during September to raise funds to support refugees - the distance of the English Channel.
22 Miles - 2.8 Miles = 19.2 Miles

Today? I’m undecided 🤷♂️ I’ve been patiently waiting to start the Magic 10K plan tomorrow so I may rest another day .... but I can hear the C25K+ Stamina podcast mocking me ... 🤭 I might squeeze that in this morning because I think the first run of the M10K will be a short one 🤔 on Friday ....
