I’m starting to feel a big panicky that I’m finishing. I might run a constant week 9 loop forever

Great run. !

Almost there 😬, check out the bridge forum (if you haven't already ) for where to go next with your running !

There’s nothing to stop you repeating Week 9, but you’re already going beyond what most people achieve in Week 9!

Usually people move fairly seamlessly into consolidation runs after graduating, where you just ‘bed in’ the habit of running 3 times a week, mixing up your runs (try longer and slower) and finding different routes. This continues to build stamina.

You can continue to post on here and/ or get support on the Bridge to 10K forum if you want to work to 10K. Or both! You could join JuJu’s magic plan, which has a timetable of 3 runs a week, either distance based (working towards 10K) or time based (working towards 1 hour of running).

When you graduate, you aren’t really finishing - it’s just a marker that you’ve completed a 9 week programme! Your running carries on in whatever way you want - still supported by this forum! We are all still here 😀👍

:) Wow! so many options! Thank you!

You're a fast one! Check out the consolidation club in the pinned posts. You've got loads of options, just don't try them all at once - and doing week 9 forever is one of them.

Thank you! I don't feel fast! I only manage 5k with the pre and post walks included. I found that moving my arms helps with the pace but it might make my hips swing a little and apparently that's bad for knees. So, let's see how that goes. I'm loving it so far!

Well done you.

Re arms: keep your shoulders down and relaxed, 90 degree bend, backwards and forwards as though you're putting your hands in your pockets (think 'socket to pocket'). Keep your hands relaxed. Pretend you're holding a pile of crisps between your thumb and forefinger that you're not allowed to crush.

Good luck 👍

Hi 👋🏻 I’m a graduate of nearly 3 weeks (still can’t actually believe that 🤩).

I am running the same route still 🙈🤣 but running for slightly further each time. My pace has improved slightly but I’m just focusing on embedding running 3 x’s a week for now anyway. Don’t worry too much just look at how far you’ve come since you took the first steps 💪🏼

IKR! I couldn't finish my first run of this program and I'm doing this now. OMG!

Wow, great run. You can move onto 5k+ podcasts although not everyone can do the music. And of course the bridge to 10k on here with Juju’s magic plan is brilliant too.

Will check that out! Thank you!!

Ahh 😍 that’s my old running route.. from many moons ago! Used to love running passed the giraffes in Regents Park 🧡

It is rather gorgeous, I feel so lucky to have the parks so close.

I wouldn’t have survived London for 8 years without Primrose, Regents and of course the Heath! 😍

I've been here for almost 6 years, this is the longest I've been in the same place in London. I have friends here and I'm comfortable but London is so expensive I'll have to move out at some point I'm afraid. In the meantime, I'll enjoy my time here. xoxo

I know the feeling! Now I’ve completed it I’m going to have to decide what to do next. I’m thinking consolidation runs for a couple of weeks and then have a good think about it. I’m kind of thinking about pushing for 10k.....kind of!
