Hey you wonderful lot, how are you all. Hope you’re all still running well. I got back from saying my forever goodbyes to my mumma this week. It was a lovely send off, just family and close friends.
I think she’d have been quite proud of what we put together for her. Thank you all again for all you lovely messages and well wishes, it really meant a lot to me ❤️
I’m not going out running, My gym has reopened so I’ve gone back to that and combined my running into my workout. I do about half an hour of cardio and then various weights machines.
I didn’t like the treadmill at first, but I think I’m starting to feel more comfortable with it. I think I’ve got the gym bug back because I’m preferring doing this to just the running. Also the weather has been so unpredictable lately it’s been nice being indoors and not having to worry about it 🙂

So good to hear from you - was thinking of you yesterday.
Such difficult times - I know.❤️
Are you deserting outdoor running altogether ?
Great you are back doing gym work !
I miss weights at my gym but it is so difficult booking time slots at the moment with work.
Hope I can get back there soon - it’s good to mix it up a bit but I’ve kinda got a liking for running outdoors 🤣 (did I just say that ? ) so will go as long as weather allows 😉
I’d like to go back to outdoor running at some point, but because I enjoy doing the weights as well, the whole convenience of being able to do everything in the same place is more appealing at the moment.
My gym has been really quiet so fortunately I’ve just been able to come and go without any hassle so far 🙂
I’m glad everything went well for you and your family. It’s good that you are still exercising whether it be in the gym or outside and now you know that you can run a good distance outside you can always choose to do that in the future whenever you want to 👍
Good morning D, I'm glad you gave your mum a good send off. You're sounding like you're in a very good place mentally and physically which is great. Keep up the gym work, they sound like they're doing you the world of good and who cares if we exercise inside or out, the main thing is we are exercising and enjoying it. X
Morning Dion, so lovely to hear from you again. So glad everything went well with your plans for your Mum but sorry to hear we’ll be missing you from our running fun. Really pleased you are carrying on with your gym activities and doing something you are passionate about.
Hi there! I’m glad you had a good send off for your mumma. I’m certain she’s enormously proud of everything you have done and will achieve in the future.
I know what you mean about returning to previously enjoyed activity. I’m back in the pool three times a week and loving it. I’m not one for the treadmill (I might need to embrace it in the winter) but I’m going to keep running at least twice a week.
Do whatever you prefer and makes you happy ...good luck! 🙏🏻😊
Nice to hear from you. It's very sad to lose your mum, she leaves a big hole in your life.
Life is returning to some sort of normality which means some weeks it is a bit harder to fit the runs in. However, I am still loving my runs, I run two or three times a week, for 30 minutes, still short of the elusive 5k but I am finding that I am getting a little bit faster.
Good to see your back Dion. I'm glad everything went well with your Mum's send off. She will be proud of what you have achieved.
Its sad that you won't be running outside, but as you say it is convenient to do your running etc in the same place. You are braver than me though as I have continued to freeze my gym membership at the minute. I'm still reviewing the whole Covid-19 situation, especially working in a hospital, and may go back over winter, but I'll have to see.
