So I think I remember feeling like this last time in week 2... the bottom half of my legs hurt so much!! calves, outside of my legs... (no idea what that muscle is called!) I have problems with my feet so wear insoles in my trainers and might need to get some new ones fitted. But yeah my goodness so much pain... but I got through it.
Does anyone else find that it's not so much breath that is the challenge but lower leg pain?

It's *really* important to get your feet right and happy before you run. So correct footwear, the correct insoles etc. If your feet aren't right, then you'll have problems further above. If you think you need new trainers, then please get them before you develop more problems. You don't have spend £££ if that's an issue.
Follow the advice in the guide to the plan on minimising impact, stretching after every run, hydration and strengthening exercises, all of which will help.
Brilliant effort so far by you, unfortunately my lungs are my Achilles metaphorically🤔. With regard to pain in the calves, does your route take you up any inclines? A few years ago I used to train with a team and the route was uphill at the beginning and really gave my calves some grief.
I'm on the treadmill at the moment so no incline to begin with and couldn't cope with any incline at all yesterday. I think it's perhaps just getting used to it and ...trainers
