Wk8 R 1. Relief

After crashing and burning in May this year on Wk 8 R1 with a knackered knee, this was a real psychological milestone to revisit . Those pesky I can’t do this Gremlins were yabbering a few times but slowed right down to possibly the slowest pace I have ever done . I am telling myself it doesn’t matter and I can only get faster and become a speedier snail 🐌 when the time is right

I was probably daft as left a week after the wk7 r 3 hoping it would all go away as I was sure I couldn’t do it ... Do you lose fitness from the last run in a week ? Maybe I am making life harder for myself by not running every other day to build stamina

Anyhoos- Massive relief

Bring it on wk8 Run/shuffle 2! 🤪

Hi - how is your knee now - has the problem resolved or did you need treatment?

In answer to your question, no you won't lose any significant fitness in a week but that of course, is if you have previously been running sufficiently regularly enough to establish that base level of fitness. Regular long gaps won't t help. Most people on this forum run several times a week but we are all different!

Slow and steady is the way to go though - good luck! 🙂
