This is my favourite place to sit on the farm and take in the view. I can also see my run route, along the wall, down the hill and up the other side. I am getting better at hills; I decided that this morning having completed Wk6 R2. I haven't posted in quite a few days as my friend who inspired me to sign up for race for life lost her battle 4 days ago. It was sudden and a shock for all her friends and family. So I made my promise this morning, sitting right here that I will complete C25K for you Anne. Despite the sadness I know she would have approved of me smiling from ear to ear at the end of run 2 this week because I still doubt myself every time before I head out to run and then I am all surprised when I realise I can do this.

You are doing so well with the C25K I love reading your progress. Your friend would be proud I’m sure.

You have the best incentive to carry on and graduate this programme.

Oh honey. Am so sorry to hear about your friend. Bet she’s delighted at what you’ve done...and what you’ll do!! Despite the sadness, so glad you’ve been able to keep going. It’s a good release. And what a beautiful spot! Jealous of that view. Sending sympathy, gin and hugs. Xxx

She was the one who challenged me to sign up for race to life in the first place before I started c25k and would have been at the race in July to cheer me on but I will finish it and I will drink Gin thank you windmill!

😂 I know I need a name change, truth is before I started this I felt old but having lost weight (still some to go!) and increased fitness I’m not feeling the old bit anymore

in reply to Jullaly

I have had a name change since I last saw you on here

I have two zero in front of Jen 58 now , only because I had email issue and couldn't get back on here, but I have noticed my comments are still around

By the way you are doing great 😊

Sometimes I see a post on here that makes me well up. I'm sad for the loss of your friend but moved that you've found inspiration amidst everything. You'll get (and deserve) a lot of virtual hugs from everyone who reads your post.

What a bittersweet time for you. Very well done on completing both runs under an emotional time. But a huge push now to complete the C25k. Sending 🤗 hugs. We are on the same run now - mine tomorrow. Keep it up you’re doing brilliantly and in such a beautiful location. I do admire you running up hills!! 👊🏼

Jullaly profile image
JullalyGraduate in reply to Ripcurlrana71

I'm learning to love the hills ..well actually its a love hate relationship. For me to keep running I had to conquer the hills because we live in a very hilly area. My next run is Sunday so let us know how you get on tomorrow x

Elfie you are so right, I wouldn’t have found running if it wasn’t for her challenging me to race for life, she raised so much for cancer research with cake baking so I will take over but raise it through running

So sorry to hear about your friend. She’d have been so proud of you. Keep it up. (I’m grounded. Gutted. Ligament injury. Went for Physio today. Two weeks and and I should be able to get going again albeit taking it easy). What a fabulous place you have for running - even more brownie points for running up hills!

All good thanks,

shocked at your news.🙈

Thought you had gone quiet.🤔

So harsh, take care of you.💫🏃‍♀️💫

That's so sad. She sounds like an amazing person (a bit like yourself). You'll miss her but you'll always think of her on your runs won't you? Keep on keeping on. Week 7 has gotten off to a bad start for me as I have had a back spasm since Week7Run1. The run itself was fine but I need to strengthen my core muscles, I think. I'm taking a few days off and you'll have caught up with me by then. Hugs

And congrats on completing wk6. Continuous running from here on 😊
