Didn't enjoy my run this morning and felt as though every step was a struggle. I'm trying hard not to let it bring me down though as I know we all have bad runs sometimes. I had a rubbish sleep last night so think that was a factor. I almost stayed in bed and didn't go out at all but forced myself out at 6.30am because I knew I'd be mad at myself later if I didn't go. I tried a different route too as I'm trying to vary it as much as I can but I just didn't enjoy it. Walked for a few minutes just after the 15 minute mark as I felt I was struggling and then when I started running again I had a mental battle to keep going. 3.3k in 27 mins today so definitely not my best effort. Rest day tomorrow and then hopefully a better run on Thursday.
Disappointed but not defeated : Didn't enjoy my... - Couch to 5K
Disappointed but not defeated

we all have not so good days.. that's done now, time to focus on the next! You can do it!

At least you got up and out! I did a shorter 20 minute this morning (tried Nike Running Club 1st guided run) and to be honest that 20 mins is just what I needed. Thought it might feel like a 'backwards step' but its done the trick and I'm looking forward to my next 30 min or 5K now.

As you say, don't give yourself a hard time. You went out and ran! We all have runs we don't enjoy and they can catch us by surprise! Your next run will be better I'm sure!

You did a run. You didn't have to.
You did a run. It's still a run, good or bad.
The next one will be different.

The thing about a tough run is that it takes a tougher runner to get through it. I’m never disappointed with myself when I get to the end of these runs.
You beat a nightmare of a run... be very proud of that... disappointment doesn’t belong here!!!

Everything going on in our lives can impact on our performance as a runner. Restedness, hydration and nutrition are at the top of my list of variables that need to be optimised to enable enjoyable running.
Keep running, keep smiling.
