WK5 run 2

Did this run earlier today and am glad I really set aside time to warm up my legs with some stretches beforehand. The area below my calve muscle and above my ankle can feel really tight when I’m jogging. Was better today. Still don’t know how I’ll process to 20 mins on run 3 but I think there is a method in the programme for sure-it’s like muscle memory is being developed.

Well done on your run! Yes, W5R3 is a big one but if you take it steady you will be fine - the programme has prepared you for it!👍🙂

It sounds as though your Achilles' tendons may be tight, so if your stretches don't help, it might be worth speaking to a physio for advice?

I also find it makes a big difference to how I feel the next day if I stretch out gently after a run and then in the evening.

Good luck and let us know how you get on!
