Do you carry a water bottle on runs?
Water: Do you carry a water bottle on runs? - Couch to 5K
Water
I don't, cause the runs are not that long and I would not know how to carry it. But I drink plenty of water before and especially afterwards.
I have a belt that I carry my phone and keys in and apparently I can get a water bottle that fits inside it, but I've never bothered doing so. I feel like it would be clunky and awkward.
I drink at least a glass of water before I go running, and then drink as much as I want to post running (tends to be a fair amount sometimes!).
I do carry a water bottle with me when running in my running belt, it's only a quarter full, just a sip before I run and a short drink when I finish, it doesn't add much weight at all.
yeah sure, nothing wrong with that hydrate before and after, watch out before thou if you drink too much 🙄 as it could swish around stomach, i carry one now and again, depends if its a hot day , as dehydration is quicker.go for it
Not unless I’m running over 10 miles
No but have wondered if running over an hour it might be sensible in this weather
No.
The pee test:
- if your pee is clear and light in colour, you're hydrated.
- if it's dark... Drink something before you go out.
Generally... A glass or cup of something about 90-60 mins before you go out is sufficient.

I haven't done, but I carried one in my hand on my last run and found it really, really annoying!
I don't carry anything as I am usually only out the house for 45 minutes. Drink a little water before setting off and drink a full glass when I get home, then try to remember to keep sipping water afterwards.
Always- one of those plastic ones with a hole in it.
