Do any of my lovely runner friends have any advice for me?
I loved my W3 R3 run yesterday, I found that comfortable place and 3 mins runs are now ok.

My advice is to accept the challenge, not fear it.. .........stop saying eeeeeeeek.
This post about mental approach may help healthunlocked.com/couchto5...
Relax and enjoy it.
You said your 3 minute runs in the last week we're comfortable , great , so you are ready for week 4 π¬
I'm glad you have read the article in the post that IannodaTruffe sent you !
Hmm...I didn't mean to hit send so soon, I hadn't finished my last reply ππ
I was just going to add the usual, keep hydrated and keep the runs slow !
You can definitely do this π¬π
I just did my week 4 and it seemed hard while i was running, but felt fine afterwards, this is despite all my life finding running hard, including at school where every year i was always in the last 4 finishing the school x country.
The only advice is maybe take a 2 day break after the first one if 5 minutes leaves you too achey, I have a feeling my last run was harder than it needed to be because my muscles are barely recovering, but i have gone from reluctant to run to impatient, so ran anyway.
My guess is If you cannot do 5 minutes, a couple week 3 runs before going abck to week 4 will do it.
Thank you for your advice and experience! I definitely understand the impatience to run that is me all over. I will see how I get on x
If youβve found a comfortable place and youβre happy with the W3 3 minute runs then you are ready for W4! Youβve got this!
thank you!!!
Embrace it. And carry on you are - nice and easy, bright and breezy. Comfortable pace, comfortable breathing is perfect.
Just remember my mantra: every run you've done prepares you for the next one (i.e. your body is ready).
Believe you can and trust the program it worksπ
You can do it. You have completed the last 3 week 4 is no different. Oh and go slowπ
Enjoy
Thatβs great that you enjoyed you last run yesterday and at a comfortable pace. I did mine but still find the first 3 min one bit of a challenge. However I am about 3 decades older than you so not going to be too hard on myself!!π good luck for tomorrow-make sure you beat the heat! π
Well done. It sounds like you are keeping up with the programme. ππ£ππ»ππΌββοΈ
