Week one complete

Never ever run in my life! School sports never happened. I’m more of a lone sporter. (But not very good on exercise in general) I am considered as obese and in my 60’s with moderate asthma. I have a couple of questions

1. Do I have to do every other day? If I carry on exercising other ways at weekend, can I run Mon/Wed/Fridays

2. As I’m very unfit, can I repeat week one?

Well done completing week one. Your plan sounds good re Monday, Wednesday and Friday with something else at weekend. For me I always left two days between each run as I felt I needed that. On this plan you can repeat whatever you like, however if you have successfully completed the first I would just move onto week 2.

Please remember as well as the five minute walk at either end of the run to do dynamic stretches pre walk/run and static stretches post run/walk. You will find plenty on you tube from Ben Parkes and James Dunne. Good luck with your running. Trust in this programme it really does work.

Also forgot to say try not to run too fast, a slow jog is just perfect at the beginning. We’re all a big family of snails 🐌 🐌 here.🤣🤣
