Not in a weird way... Today is her week 1 run 1 having never run before in her life.

I'm redoing the course with her after having graduated a few months ago.

Any positive words of encouragement would be appreciated.

Aww absolutely!

I’m following her...

words of encouragement- hmm here goes

I’m a 60 year old (almost) who at week 1 Couldn't run for 20 seconds let alone the required 60 but who plodded thru, encouraged by the most amazing bunch of people on this forum!

I graduated 2 weeks ago ( at 3.5k) and on Tuesday I ran a slow 5k and this morning I ran an improved but still slow 5k that I never thought possible.

Tell her to keep posting after every run .. good or bad .. and we will be here to celebrate or nurture and encourage...

it’s her personal journey and there is zero pressure on her! Repeat runs as and even required and stay on weeks as long as it takes ..

That graduate badge will be hers for the taking!

I honestly could not have done it without doing that on here... you are the best bunch I could wish for...

my running family 💕

Way to go Mrs Cowps 👏👏 proud of you for starting this and also so excited for you for what you’re about to start

Hi! I’m new aswell and your wife was my first follow - who knew you could ‘follow’.

I’m just starting week 5 next week, but when I did W1:R1 I actually thought I was going to die. I has never run before either, and 60 seconds was so hard. I was the one at the back walking in PE at school. I hated it! I still can’t believe I’ve got this far.

Let’s go!

She'll be fine. I had never run in my life either. Tomorrow I start week 9 and I am no spring 🐣. It just works somehow.
