Week 9 run 1 was very hard. As I said a few days ago I ran nearly 4 mins over the 28 mins I was supposed to do and was only 110m off 5k. Today I ran the full 30 mins and stopped when Laura said so as I was totally empty. The reason I believe is I had a bag of mini double deckers and a pizza last night, total stodge. I’ve really come to believe what I eat affects my running so won’t be doing that combo again in a hurry. Still my run wasn’t too much of a disaster. I forgot to switch my Fitbit off at the end of the run and it wasn’t that much further it buzzed to say I’d done 5k. When I checked I’d walked for only 3-37. So I reckon (fingers crossed? I’m on for a (around) 32min 5k after I complete week 9. Here’s hoping anyway.

Everything going on in our lives can impact on our performance as a runner. Restedness, hydration and nutrition are at the top of my list of variables that need to be optimised to enable enjoyable running.

Pizza and a bag of double deckers does not sound like a well balanced diet.........we are what we eat.......

Hahaha. Promise it was a one off. Although no guarantee it’ll not happen a again sometime in the future.
