Woohoo! Completed first of the last week. I don’t think I’ll hit the 5km running but I do in total. Feel a little like my running has plateaued and I’m not getting better or faster but maybe it’s the increased running time in the last few weeks ... from someone who was always dreadful at any sort of long distance this is an achievement.
Quick question. When running it’s not so much my legs get tired but I get out of breath - is that normal and a sign of tiredness?

Plateaued? I don't think so! You are running longer and longer each week, do not underestimate the amazing achievement that that is! Very few people are running 5km when they graduate, but it's something you can aim for next if you wish to.
If you are out of breath, you are simply running too fast for your current level of cardio fitness. Yes, it's very normal! It takes time for us to find and recognise our comfy pace. So try slowing it down a bit, and aim for steady breathing rather than an increase in pace at this point. Good luck. Graduation beckons 🙂
