Well I did 30 mins.. nearly killed me but carried on..

It was disappointingly tough from the start .. legs heavy, head wind then a stitch.. but battled on.

I hope so next time is easier..

I'm gutted tbh as felt was doing so well...πŸ˜ͺ

Perhaps after 3 days hiking away and run 3 of week 8 last week took more of a toll on me than thought.. although gave myself 2 recovery days in hope was enough.

I'll see what Run 2 brings

Well done. Don’t be so hard on yourself, looking at your times and distance you did great.

Main thing you battled in and got through it. Another run down.

Keep going nearly there you can do this πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»

Well done.

Everything going on in our lives can impact on our performance as a runner. Restedness, hydration and nutrition are at the top of my list of variables that need to be optimised to enable enjoyable running.

Heavy legs can be symptomatic of poor hydration. As a runner you need to drink a minimum of 2.5 -3 litres of fluid each and every day, running or not, as mentioned in the guide.

I felt like that last week. I noticed we r both in our forties and trying to make changes like healthy eating etc.... from the start of this podcast i changed everything. I make sure i drink 2l of water tge day before my run and the the hours before my run, i stopped snacking etc... it has been a life changer and this ct5k is i believe all about β€œmindset”, i often felt like β€œthis is enough, i cant....”, but i keep going and i try to push myself halfway to do the 5k in 30min. I find it hards, its natural to me but like you when you went camping, i spent 2 days in Bath and booked with tge family a mountain bike tour and it was amazing, i loved it and i dont even have a bike at home! Its all about mindset, isnt it. On Friday last week, my colleagues ordered fish&chips, i felt tempted but resisted, ate my salad.... its hard , people who look good is only brcause they work so v hard to achieve this. I have 3 children and i work like most of us and being 43, i felt rubbish not looking after myself..... these last weeks have been a life changer, i hope i keep going through the winter months..... i think i may now include a 1 day a week (treat) day where i can have a little luxury food like a pain au chocolat or a burger for lunch. Feeling low during runs is normal, ive had it too and its rubbish but im sure everyone gets it . Come on W9R2.... πŸ‹οΈβ€β™‚οΈ
