So...I had started in 2014, graduated early 2015 and loved running (couldn’t run for a bus before I started, was an ex smoker and overweight) - did a few half marathons, 10ks and advent running and run streaks. Last year in January I got pregnant- had my little boy in October.

Last Sunday I went back out and did week one, day one. My little boy is nearing 4 months and it was time to get back out. It felt amazing - like claiming a little bit of me back! Week 2 starts tomorrow...I’m looking forward to each run. It just seems the right thing to do to start the journey again...looking forward to following some others too! Anyone else just started?

Good luck with the journey too! Loved it the first time - kinda hoping it’s a bit easier the second time but we’ll see!😂

Hope injury wasn’t too bad!

Trapped sciatic nerve...which, weirdly, I had thirty odd years ago when pregnant... much better now...but I am going to come back to where I was so slowly...:) ( 10K is going to take a while to get back to :)

We will be fine.. we will do it together:)

Well done!

Restarted running in Jan and now on Week 5. Loving it, in spite of the weather!

Good luck! You know what to expect and that you were able to do it! That can't be bad.

Congratulations on your little boy, and good for you at getting back out there! I'm repeating Couch to 5k too, now part way through week 5. Did it last year, got as far as a half marathon, then fizzled out after hurting my toe (the glamour). Love having a little bit of time to myself when running.

Well done, Miss_slinky, for getting out. And for having a baby! I'm also starting again (first day today). I think running will be doubly good for you as it will give you a bit of time for yourself. Good luck and keep posting!

Thats amazing...

just a tip.....if you are still breastfeeding you will need to up your calorie intake significantly (& water intake). fully breastfed babies can use upto an additional 2000 cals a day on a growth spurt. It'll often show up with evening milk and increased feeding frequency , esp at night!! so keep those carbs up high!!

hope this helps

Tried breastfeeding but it didn’t work out for us ☹️ So no need for above. Thanks anyway

Thats one less thing to coordinate then.

hopefully my info will be of help to others.

ive had 2 children, one refused to breastfed n i was in agony.

The second rarely stopped feeding and refused a bottle.

Im glad i had both. gives me a balanced perspective.
