Consolidation - mixed bag

I'm finding consolidation to be quite a mixed bag which has been surprising. There are so many factors that can determine a good or disappointing run or a short or longer run. I guess that's what these runs are for, to teach us about how our body responds to these factors (such as sleep, food, water, mood, weather) and what works for us and what doesn't. I was a bit disappointed this week as I only managed 23 minutes on Thursday (although it was torrential rain so I give myself points for going out at all) but I was determined to make it to 30 mins this morning (which I did). I've just looked at my stats for the week and I've run 10.8k (3 runs) which has blown my mind so I'm not disappointed anymore πŸ˜€. From a non-runner/exercise-phobe 11 weeks ago to running over 10k (albeit not in one go!) is amazing to me. Might not sound like much to some but I'm still very much a beginner so I know I'll improve if i stick with it.

This is a great post! It's so important to stop and savour just how much progress we have made rather than keep beating purselves up over what we didn't manage. 10km in a week is awesome, even mkre so this early in your running journey πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘
