First run back in almost a week

So after my 4th consolidation run last Tuesday my hip and back have just been awful so I’ve had virtually a week off 😭

I’ve been feeling really sorry for myself but my daughter is trying to get a bit fitter too so yesterday she says to me “mom will you come with me on the first few couch to 5k runs”. So I did week one run one and it felt ok.... confidence in my leg and back improved so tonight I went out myself....

I managed to run for 30 minutes but it was quite a bit slower and once I’ve finished my hip and leg are feeling really not great again. So upsetting :(

I have been really looking forward to running again. I’m thinking of seeing a chiropractor to see if it’s a bone alignment issue. Need to get my body back!

So sorry to hear about your injury vows BowlingT. It's horrible when injuries stop you running. It's really important that you get it sorted and don't end up causing a long term injury. Have you thought about seeing a sports physio? May be better to get you back fit for running than a chiropractor. Good luck and hope you get well

I hadn’t thought of a sports physio to be honest.... was thinking this hip/back issue has been niggling for years triggered by a variety of things.... usually work rather than sport. I will ask around locally to see if anyone can recommend
