Wore my new running shoes again today and delighted to discover that their name in Maori (Hoka One One) means "to fly"! Still waiting to fly, but a lot easier than old trainers.

These were advised by specialist running shop - they didn't say anything about pronation, but got me doing squats, running on treadmill and then recommended these shoes. Very padded and comfortable. Feel very stable on
I know they’re so expensive my Gel kayano 24 are from 4 years ago and still cost 150 quid in some places! It’s Cos they’re just amazing shoes x but wowza
I don’t know if they all are, but mine (Arahis) are. They have some sort of patented J system to help stability. I’m on my second pair and recommend them.
It’s good to see a post from you . Shoes sound really interesting - does this mean your weekly 3 X runs will be so easy , your be adding on another K as a challenge ?
6-8 months I think. I had really bad knee pain with IT band. Swapped to Hoka. The low drop fixed me overnight. Never had a problem since. Took a while to get used to though - alternated for a month or so.
