Good Afternoon all! Tomorrow I will start Week 7. So excited! Nearly a graduate! Yesterday when lovely supportive Laura announced "You are now a runner", i felt quite emotional.

I am trying to plan ahead for when I complete the programme. Do I:

1) Add in a fourth 30 minute/5k run?

2) Stick to 3 runs and work on increasing length of run/ distance by maybe 5 mins a week?

Or is there something else? I don't really want to stick to the same plan for weeks on end, gettin bored, I want to continue to grow and really because a really strong runner. What have other Graduates done or plan to do after completing C25K? I'd really appreciate any advice.

Thanks 😊

I did 6 or 7 30 min consolidation runs then borrowed 5 mins each week from the first run and added it onto the last eg 25/30/35. 20/30/40 until I reached 5k keeping within 90 minutes running a week within the consolidation period. 4 weeks after graduating c25k I started the magic 10 plan

That sounds like a great plan. Thank you.

Sounds like you're doing great. Consolidation runs are really important. They build on what you've done in 9 weeks of c25k. Then it's up to you! Do you want to be a faster 5k runner? Do you want to get to 10k? Marathon 🙂? The important thing is to follow a training plan to avoid fatigue and injury. Good luck and enjoy your running

Thank you. Good advice. I'm aiming to run faster, further and ultimately and eventually run a half marathon.

When you announce your graduation I will send you a link to a guide to post C25k running.

If you cannot wait, it is sitting in the FAQ Posts, which you will find in the Pinned Posts.

My Plan (a little boring but works with my work life)

12 30 minute Consolidation Runs (3.5 Weeks)- if run falls on weekend will try to reach 5K. Then start a 10K plan based on time.
