Hi all. I’m stuck in a rut with week 7. I have completed all of the other runs successfully but can’t even get past 10 minutes on week 7! Admittedly I have tried WK7 R1 over the last three days (without rest days) because I am getting so frustrated that I now can’t do it.
My breathing is fine; but my legs are so sore! I have proper trainers so that isn’t an issue. My calves burn and then I give in. Any tips and advice? Thanks all x

Hi, my advice it to have a couple of days off, recovery time is vital, don’t get worked up about it, if you found week 6 good, rerun it consolidate it. If you end up not enjoying it you will quite probably give up and it would be such a waste and a shame it after all the hard work you have put in goes to waste, we all have set backs.
If you completed the final run of week 6 successfully then your body is capable of doing the runs in week 7.
It's vital you take the rest days between runs though. This is a graduated plan and each run is pushing your body that little but further but it needs time to recover. Keeping on trying on successive days is the worst thing you can do and will only set you up to fail.
Take 2 or 3 days off. Repeat the final run of week 6 if you want to build your confidence. Take at least another day off before the next run.
Make sure you are well hydrated before you run. Dynamic stretching pre run and static stretching post run will help with tight or sore muscles.
Can't say anymore that's not already been said. I'm on week 7 and running at a strange venue. So just taking it very steady and ensuring I get the 25 mins done. Not bothering about times or statistics. Just building up a good solid foundation that I can build on after I graduate.....
Getting frustrated is only going to hinder your efforts, take a couple of rest days and just relax, then when you’re feeling refreshed have another, as mentioned already you already ran this run at the end of week 6 so you’ve got this 😊
