Slippery when wet and another parallel dimension!

Wk 8 run 2 in the bag though! Yay 😁

Still finding the first 5-10mins of the run a real effort but settled in despite small drama of my headphones trying to slide off my head! I usually wear a ponytail but after the wind and my last runs plait debarcle I went for two plaits - big mistake as there was nothing to stop the headphones slipping backwards 🤦🏻‍♀️ highly annoying at first but got it sorted and settled in enjoying the refreshing drizzle 😅

Finished strong and felt my little legs were really working well.

Got home and checked my stats and am now convinced I run in a parallel dimension where fast is slow and slow is fast 🙈😂

Just like Monday, the times I thought I was going slow were actually faster than when I thought I was giving it my all! What is that all about? The only thing I can think is that the songs I’m listening to have a bigger affect than I thought. I made my own playlist so the beat is different every song, maybe it somehow confuses my brain 🤷🏻‍♀️ to be fair though, it wouldn’t take much 😜

Maybe it’s just your pace naturally improving with your fitness. Well done 😊

Maybe but not sure that explains going slow when I thought my legs were going like the clappers 😂

Well done! The toxic 10 is horrible isn’t it but it really helps me to know that I’ll get through it and will feel better. And I know what you mean about thinking it’s fast when slow etc 🤷🏻‍♀️

Only 4 more runs to go keep up the great work

I agree totally. Now I’ve done 25+ runs a few times I’m much better at convincing myself to push through and try to ignore how hard it feels at first. As I’m gaining more confidence each time, I’m learning that it does get better and I will get to a point in the run where I start really enjoying it 😅

I definitely think the tunes can make a difference! I'm only in week 7 but I made myself a playlist of all the tunes that I'd found have me a boost I was on my last legs and now I'm starting to smile on my runs x

Yeyyyy! Amazing Foxy!.... Fab write up!

Tho between us we do seem to be having hair drama's don't we ..... I was thinking of Princess Leia harstyle... but then not even sure i would fit my headphones over :-)

My music has such an impact on my runs!.. I made a new playlist but i do think i need to switch them around a little.. I have all the fast upbeat ones at the start .... perhaps spread them throughout ... a fast then a mid tempo one..

Anyway Twinnie!.... we both have 1 more run left - this is getting fantastically serious now isn't it!

I like to do mine on a Thursday but I can't tomorrow :-(

Will have to be Fri or Saturday even .... so we will be doing our runs together!
