Consolidation Humiliation 😳

I'm such an idiot. Smug personified having graduated and into 3rd week of consolidation, doing 6.7km between warm up, 30 min run and cool down - according to the health app on my Samsung phone. Downloaded Runkeeper and tracked the 30 min run on Monday... to my horror, I'm only covering 3.3km!!!!! I know the important bit is the 30 min running but I'm gutted that I'm so far off the 5k! All the Samsung stats suggested I was covering 5k in about 32-35 min, which I was COMPLETELY SMUG about. I've really had my comeuppance! I've walked a 4.75km route today and am going to try running all of that tomorrow, v slowly.

Yours in humiliation....

I had the same problem when I downloaded MapMyRun and used it alongside Strava. MapMyRun is a killjoy and has since been deleted - I don’t need that kind of negativity in my life. I suspect Runkeeper should meet the same fate!

I was going to do that!! But then I mapped it out on Google maps and was horrified to see that runkeeper prob accurate 😡. Out of spite I think I will delete runkeeper (#shootthemessenger) but i need to get closer to that 5k 1😅

Thanks for messaging Lula - i really appreciate!

Noooo! I feel your pain. Hey, you've still done brilliantly to run for the 30 mins and you've got a new goal now!

Yes - will probably take me more than 9 weeks to achieve 🤣

I’ve just done my first run of week 9 and I’m running about 3.5km in 30 mins. I’m not fast, but I’m still faster than I was sitting on the couch! We will get there. 😊

Oh no that’s so gutting but take the huge positive you’ve run further than you did before you started !!! I’ve had issues with Strava it said I ran further and faster than Runkeeper. Which is crazy. Runkeeper can correct the gps which sometimes gives a very wiggly line hence the greater distance. My fit bit is also inaccurate. It’s hard to find accurate apps I think.

Chin up and onward we jog !!

Thank you! I'll try not to get to hung up - I know it's the time exercising that's most important. Just fed up I was so deluded on the distance 😫
