W4R1

Ayup playmates. Just completed W4R1 in my house. Barefoot. Quite easy. W1R1 gave me slight calf discomfort. So the next day, rest day, I did stretches throughout the day. Have had no discomfort since. Did expect some maybe today, but no, none. Looks like I may get through this course after all.

You will get through the course OK, are you doing ALL your runs barefoot in the house of just some?, well done on completing run 1 of week 4 barefoot in your house, it is very important to do stretches during the day too, onwards to run 2 of week 4.

I did W2 and W3 outdoors. But I like barefoot, so will do at home until my Vivobarefoot shoes arrive. Then I’ll try them out around the lake. Thanks for the reply playmate.

Well done you! I now have a picture in my head of your enormous house with its 5km hallway..... barefoot runs sound great though... I did the first few runs around my garden (round and round the pond..) daren't go barefoot though in case the dog had left me a secret present somewhere..... ☺

Nah!! Just a lowly 3 bed semi lol. But I do have a 15m stretch to run back and forth on. Stick my earbuds in and listen to some Chillstep. The time flies by. Just awaiting delivery of a pair of Vivobarefoot running shoes. Then for a run around the University Lake. The idea of barefoot running was inspired by seeing the Tarahumara people of Central Mexico. One of them completed a 50 mile marathon in 6hrs 18mins. Phew, can you imagine?

Ah well, onward and upward says me.
