I did the final run of week 6 this morning. It was too windy to set an official world record, but I felt I had on completing the 25 mins - as a bonus I was inside the pace for 5k in 30 mins. I got a real buzz from the exercise today and it reminded me of how good it can feel.
My left knee has started to complain about the new activity (nothing too serious yet - I can still run OK ). I'll try to nip it in the bud using the exercises on the NHS site. Has anyone found these exercises effective? I'd be interested to know if they actually make a difference. Any tips or sage advice welcome.
I'm looking forward to some "proper running" in week 7 now and feeling very positive about it.

There is advice in the guide to the plan on minimising impact, stretching after every run, hydration and strengthening exercises, all of which will help..........yes, those knee exercises do work.
